I've not once ever read a bad word to be said about them so am possitive they're well worth the money, indeed I had contacted Trev about having one made myself, but alas the money situation said no.One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!

We all know it will be many weeks before you receive the cue, you could use this time to save £2 a day , or something similar. be disciplined, dedicated and you WILL get your cue and save up enough to have one. Not easy DWOT, but not impossible.
Good luck

We all get used to using a certain cue I guess, but honestly the shaft is as good a shaft as I possibly desire. One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!

DWOT its Personal Preference m8, Your Happy with that Cheap Shaft doesn't Mean others would be m8.
But what I will say is 99% of People will Disagree with you m8 as a £18 Cue or Shaft Won't be in the Same League as Trevor White's, John Parris etc not just the Grain/Arrows but the Quality.
I have had 1000's of Cues thru my Hands and Beleive me No £18 Cue or Shaft Comes Near Trevors, Not saying 100% of People will Agree as I know few people using Cheap Cues as they wouldn't Know what to Look for in a Quality Nice Cue and there Happy with there Cheapo's but thats very few people. People who are Clued Up on Snooker/Pool or Cue Collecting will find Faults in 99% of Cheap Cues or Shafts Believe me.
Not having a Dig at you DWOT just Stating a Fact.
Gaz.

p.s. remember I'm not a good player by any stretch and my point is really that even though I play almost every day in a quest to improve, spending £300+ on a cue is still too much for an average player to fork out for a cue.One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!

At my level I see little point in forking out a few hunded quid for a supposedly superior cue when I know full well right now I'm far better off spending that on getting some decent coaching to try and make me a better player, I might feel differently if I were a regular 100+ break maker, who knows???????One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!

Golf and snooker are bad parallels when it comes to comparing equipment because there have been countless technology improvements in golf which do indeed make the game easier for lesser players.
However I agree with your point when it comes to snooker i.e. buying a more expensive cue wont make you a better player. The statement I objected to that you made in your previous post was that £300 is too much for an average player to spend on a cue. My point is that it's up to the individual player regardless of ability how much they want to spend. I'm an average player but as I can afford to I've decided to treat myself to a Trevor White cue for my 40th birthday. I know it won't make me a better player but in my opinion I think it's a bargain and not too much to spend as I can tell the difference between cues I like and cues I don't. And in my experience (I've owned quite a few cues) I am happy to pay extra to get a cue that I know will be made from the best materials available and built and finished to a very high standard.
But that's just me and if other people think that's too expensive then that's fine, but it has nothing to do with whether I'm a good, average or poor player.
