Def. Just a shame Caz couldn't get to grips with it. I'm dreading my TW in a way, that I also won't be used to it over time ( here's hoping ).

We all know that before you've even potted a ball with a cue it has to feel right in the hand. This game is played in the mind as much as anything else and these things, no matter trivial they may seem can have a massive impact on your game. To answer your question inoff it's hard to explain but I feel like when I'm delivering the cue that I'm not squeezing the butt at the correct time in the stroke, When I try to do the del hill drive I feel like my cue hand is to far advance of the vertical in the address position and this is throwing my timing out.
I have to go with my gut on this one, if finding the perfect cue was easy we’d all have are perfect cue but unfortunately there is no set formula that we can use to work it out.
Yeah, I hear ya Caz. I'm concerned that I'm just too used to "too small" a butt. Will be going up from a 25mm to 27.5mm. Yet as crazy as it sounds, hit the ball so sweet with my old cue. So why get a new one right?

My old JP is a bit of a 'Frankenstein'. It was 56" when I first got it... lengthened to 57.5. Re-weighted. Balance point is shot I'm sure. Butt slimmed down to 25mm.

So I thought it best to adapt to a thicker butt ( more power ). And have a cue that's 'complete' and not bits and pieces 'tagged on'. Only time will tell.

        • I done that with my first JP cue I had so many mods done you couldn't believe it was the same cue. It also played very well and like yourself didn't really need a new cue. I think sometimes in searching for a new cue you can throw your game out and lose touch with what you wanted from a cue in the first place.
