  • Common Cue Specs

What are the most common cue specs, i know there is 100s of ways to make cue feel, but what are the most common lengths, size, but diamter, weight, balance point, tip size, taper, ext?

Im interested in seeing what odd specs people use. I have noticed alot of the cue makers like 18.5 or so as a weight and a tip of 9.5ish, and 57 58inchs long. My self i have no idea what my cue is, i know the but diamter is smaller then most, the tips onnly 9mm, and the weight i have no idea, all i know is the feel is great for me. I find the big thick butts a bit weird feel in the hands, so lets see what everyone has for specs!

I hear you on that one. I made a thread way back that caused a little 'conversation' over butt size. The cue I have, is a JP Elite 25mm butt size ( no streaker required ).

Funnily enough tho, I've gotten used to a 28mm ( which I'm told is still thin, or as thin as you should go ). Everything else about your general specs seems spot on. Trust me, I used that slim butted cue for 14yrs. If I can get used to a 28mm and upwards, anyone can.

Takes time tho, to begin with I couldn't get on with it at all but the perseverance paid off in the end.
