  • My new will hunt cue #336

I have just acquired this Will Hunt cue #336 Black Plate from the original owner who bought it from Dave Johnston-Allen of Cheddar Classics at the Crucible at the 2002 World Snooker Championship. Cue is in mint condition and straight as a dye. There are some more pics in my album.

The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Fancy splices can look awesome, but you can't get away from the classy look of a pure ebony butt. How does it play? Gradz

The cue plays very well. I've had many 3/4 cues in the past that I liked but this is the first 1 pc. It's hard to describe but this cue just feels better and more naturally balanced, if that makes any sense. I've put my TW aside for the time being.

Don't get me wrong, I'm on my 2nd TW cue, love em, but this Will Hunt being a 1 pc. just has a different feel to it which I'm finding agreeable.

I'd love to try a 1pc, as I've heard good things about them, but prefer carrying a 3/4 joint.

I agree with you. I may tire of the inconvenience of carrying around a 1 pc. cue but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I've almost always had a 1 piece cue so maybe it's what I'm used to, but apart from a 3/4 case fitting in the boot of your car and a 1 piece case not, what else is more inconvenient about lugging a 1 piece case around vs a 3/4 piece case?
