  • Is a 3/4 split cue really more convenient?

I've seen/heard it mentioned many times, both here and elsewhere that a common reason why people prefer 3/4 cues over 1 piece cues is that they are more convenient to carry around.

I've always prefered a 1 piece cue so maybe I'm biased but I have had 3/4 split cues in the past, some of them for quite a considerable length of time. Apart from a 3/4 case fitting in the boot of your car and a 1 piece case not, what else is more convenient about lugging a 3/4 piece case around vs a 1 piece case?

Surely that's the main reason !
Altho 3/4 still won't fit in my Mini's boot lol

Again, maybe it's just me but with the cold and dampness the boot of my car is the last place I want my cue to be for any length of time. Mines is quite happy being transported around in the back of the car.

Well, you surely don't let your cue overnight in the boot for example, especially when it's cold and humid, or very hot outside in the day. Cue must be stored at home, and in the boot only to go to the club imo
