Are you asking because you need one cue straightening or because you generally want to know?
If you need a cue straightening then my advice would be to take to a proffesional (local cue maker) and get them to do it. One thing to bare in mind is it as the cue is straightening, it may well need a refinish afterwards.
Where abouts you are?, depends on how much it will cost. Straightening is usually £5-15 and refinishing £15-30+
As for straightening it yourself, I think different people have different methods, you can use steam and try and bend the cue back to straight with you hands, leave to dry and settle (hoping it stays straight).
You could hang it up and add weight to the bottom hoping it will straighten??
Either way, steam (or water but not best or advised) will soften the wood allowing it be straightened, if you are looking to do it yourself, do it on something cheap as you dont want to be ruining a good cue.
If you wet the wood to badly completely softening it, expect the cue be less stiff when playing.
If you staighten the cue yourself, then you need to be able to refinish it yourself as well.
