Why not adjust the taper and thin the butt out to get the mark out? Might be something else to experiment on and possibly salvage something from a lost cause. Even if sold a bit cheaper due to the thinner butt being a more specialised requirement it's better than losing all of the cue.

Dean, yep could do that, have it down to 28mm butt and it would work. Trouble is a hate it when anything goes wrong and dont like to ponder on it, prefer to just start again and get it right from the start. May go back to this cue if I find myself with nothing to do.

Or if somebody comes in and says I want it, 28mm butt, length, tip size etc etc

That's just the tight a**e in me. I would hate to waste money. If it's salvageable to get something back, it's worth doing. Still a good attempt for 4 lower splicings irrespective.

Why not do a " sin bin " a la MW . You could offer these " rejects " and I am sure they would get snapped up.Just sell "as is " and un-badged.Your progress has been astounding and I am still drooling over what my cue will eventually look like, keep it up please.

I can honestly say that I haven't seen one cue guru cue that I don't like (all except the one with the big hole in the ebony ) nice designs, nice splicing, and look to be of a nice quality :snooker:

Yep, boring the weight hole and the drill bit wondered off in the wood. Painfull!
