Some advice for filling the grains?

Hello... I have made a cue and would need some advice for filling the grains of the ash. If anyone could point me to right direction i would be very thankful. I´ve used some ebony dust and wax before but it´s not working good enough. So, some ideas? Thanks.

Coutts cues...around £35 with a refinish...an excellent job

Do you make it to some sort of paste with linseed oil or something?

Thanks but i´d rather do it my self. Sure they can do a perfect job but i wouldn´t learn anything.
