  • Should I or shouldn't I.......

    Hi,

I've been thinking of getting a SD joint put in my cue to fit a mini butt and extensions on it, but I'm afraid it'll change how it feels!!

There's been a couple of times I've been on 50 odd breaks and its broke down because I've needed to get the long tackle out to play the shot and missed cause you just can't get the same feel with it, not like when using your own cue as we know.......

I was wondering if anybody has had this done and did the cue feel the same afterwards??

    Cheers.

im sure a good cue maker could manage to keep the weight the same or very very close

if something like that can affect your game then your probably thinking to much about whats in your hand rather than how to use it correctly

Just work harder on getting positional play right in your breakbuilding

er why so helpful! im similar in that ive gone from an all singing TW to a 1980s powerglide executive and ive adjusted and am happy but i really want the handiness of the joint too.. but worry about the effect on the cue

Try a slip on extension, Ronnie doesn't have a problem using one even though he has an SD joint in his cue.

Very true, and I have tried them and they are very good.

One slight problem is that you have to carry them it separately. Which for me can sometimes be a little bit of a pain cause I use the train and underground to get my local club (Its a lot quicker than driving cause of the traffic and parking).
