what size tip is best?

i am a pool player looking to switch over to snooker, currently have an 8mm tip, so im looking to change to a 9 - 9.5mm tip, what would you recomend?

I would say that 9.5mm is about average. Older cues tend to have larger tips sizes ie:- 10mm +.

9-9.5 is probably fine but really it's just personal preference, try a few different cues with different tips size and see what you like.
