You get what you pay for with Dunns. They are decent quality, much better than one you can buy in JJB/Argos and what not. However, you are Paying that price for the cue alone. The case's are generic Chinese ones and the mini butt and extension are crap. I have had a Ebony 19" extension and 6" mini made up. £40 shipped. Which isn't bad at all. You really just need to take into account that the extensions provided are poo and the case is just one you can get for £20. So doesn't add huge value to the cue.
The finish of the cue is very good. It's not varnished. It's the sort of finish you find on a TW cue. The shaft on mine is nice and solid. It also looks aged which i much prefer to very light shafts. The Chevrons are nice as is the grain.
Mine uses an air lock joint which i like alot. If i remember correctly the Andy Travis cues use an old school normal joint. Personally i wouldn't go near one just because of the joint.

I own a dunns, not happy with the product, I beleive that a knot in the shaft is not a good indication of quality. I think you need to pay allot of money to get a premium cue from them. I will never go that way again.
