  • how to make a cue

    hey i am looking at learning how to make a snooker cue as would love to learn as a hobby. could any 1 tell me what stuff u would need to make a cue thanks

    Don't think anyone will tell you the exact step by step guide, as it would do them out of business maybe.
    But have you seen this short video for a basic idea ? Scroll down to the one called "cue production"
    Looks like you need wood, clamps and planes lol..........oh and a whole dollop of skill

          ive made a few by hand and i can tell you its a long old quite expensive process and extremely hard to get good results !! but very rewarding when your able to use the cue youve made from scratch

                  is there anyone in the uk that could do day or 2 cue making info/course \ because id be happy to play to do something like this when i come over later this year?

                    I have always wanted to have a go at making my own cues but have no idea were to start.

                    If any cue makers do start offering a course Id be more than willing to part with fair few quid for it.
                    Just because its old, doesn't mean its worth a fortune!!

                      i think that they should do it and u get to keep the cue that u make but they think u will take business away from them

                          I dont think any cue maker will give you a lesson as it will affect their business.

                          Also every cue maker have their own way of making cues.

                            i think the chances of me taking there business would be very slim at best ive worked as a sparky since i left school but i do really love working with wood and to top it off i live in Australia
