anyway, hope the mark disappears after the cue is cleaned and oiled. all the best

Best thing to do, and then once every 6 months or so, I apply linseed oil with a white cloth, leave overnight, then buff off in the morning until the cue feels as smooth as a baby's hindquarters (and yes, I do have 3 children of my own, so I have a legitimate reason to say this!), and then you're good to go ...
