  • Value of my cue - Craftsman Majestic ( 8 ball Pool spec)

Can anyone help me out as to how much I should be looking to get for my cue?

It's a Craftsman Majestic. I had it made about 2-3 years ago and it's built to pool specifications (slightly shorter, small tip). It's a 1 piece with no major or intrusive dents or scratches.

I'm not trying to sell it on here, but just for your information, I'm only selling because I want to get a 2 piece more suitable to pub leagues.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Well that model at Craftsman now retails at £224 I think so it should fetch around £110 ish maybe slightly higher I reckon, would probably get around £150-£180 if it was snooker spec, i.e. 57", 9.5mm, 18-19oz.

Craftsman can be very hit and miss on Ebay, but that model usually does well compared to the plain ebony models.

As already said above this Cue Retails around £220 and the Craftsman Majestic is the Best of Daves Cues at Craftmanscues in my Honest Opinion as they have very nice Design on the Butt.

I have been into Cues for Very Long Time and All I could Say When Pricing a Few Cues is Its Worth what Somebody is Prepared to Pay for it at this Time as if its there Specs/Design etc etc and they Want it then they May Pay alittle more than Usual.

I would Put a Price Depending on Specs of the Cue between £100-£140 if its Short if 57" or More then £150-£175.

Please send me some Pictures and Specs of the Cue to: topgazza@aol.com ....... I may have Somebody Interested in this if Right Price!

        Thanks guys.

I'd looked up the current going rate but wasn't sure about the depreciation.

I appreciate the offer Gaz but I don't really want to go through the hassle of selling to someone who isn't local. The cue is in good condition so I'm sure if I get someone to actually try it out, it should hopefully fetch over the hundred mark at least.

        Thanks again.

pool spec is what kills the prices.

It's a shame that the pool specs lower the price because it's hard to get a good 8ball cue at a reasonable price without having it custom built. In fact it may be so hard that I'll just get this one centre jointed. Not ideal but it might come to that.

If its only the carting around being the problem, then getting it jointed would be my vote.

Have u tried calling craftsman and seeing how much then would offer you for it in exchange for them also making you the jointed cue?

as has been said, if yer happy with the cue, get it jointed. craftsman will charge yer 20-25 quid for this doing. if yer think the weight might be the issue after, have dave take 1/2 an once out, less than 10 quid.
all in all, to keep yer cue an have it sorted is less than 50 quid, an when yer could be looking at possibly losing 150 on the initial outlay, its not a bad idea.
