Regarding the vibration cue test ,you can learn it easily but you have to test various pool cues first as they have a bigger variety in the wood type used ,unlike snooker cues.
as a general rule the higher the frequency of vibration ,the better the cue it

then check the cue deflection by hitting a powerfull deep screw shot without using your shoulder to generate extra spin ,
you should also test deflection by using side shots at high power .
