As I am sure you know with this budget you cannot really expect decent quality.

Might seem a stupid question but does anyone know how to buy off green baize as i think i will go with their budget cue just cant see a buy button anywhere. The only reason i dont want to spend say £150 for a cue is because im not really a £150 cue player. Ive just started up again and fancy a new cue that i can start to improve as a player with and then if i do become better i might be able to justify spending that much on a cue

The reason for investing in a good cue is that it will be an investment. would help your game improve faster as well as better resale value should you wish to sell. A good condition trevor white rarely sells for lower that one pays for them

Yh i know what you mean. Kinda torn on the idea really. As i say was going to get a cheap cue and see how things go and then maybe get a more expensive 1 if i start to see improvements in my game and i do keep up this hoing 3/4 times a week

Click on the OnLine Shop link, "How to buy", this will explain that Stuart prefers the personal touch, I would give him a call and have a chat, he is very personable and knowledgeable and will not point you wrong.

                  Hi guys

I am in the same position as the OP and I also have seen this cue from Cuecraft for 89, which apparently is made by them and not imported. What do you think of this in comparison the the Dunn and GBL ones mentioned earlier?

                  http://www.cuecraft.com/zcstore/inde...roducts_id=305

Am also keeping eye on ebay for any decent second hand ones but keep coming across all the chinese imports .......

That looks like a very good deal and I have only heard good things about CueCraft cues at this level.

Ive decided its either going to be the 1 from green baize or that cue craft 1, anybody have any opinions of which they think would be better as im unsure as to what I need to compare between the 2 cues? Thanks

@the OP and yourself....if i were you i would contact Andy travis for a custom made cue, not much more cost really, and you'd have to save up for a case but defo the better option IMO...

Yo Cally. Did you decide what specs you're going for on your next TW?

I purchased my cue from Stu a couple of months ago and I am lucky to live local to Green Baize.

I was lucky to be able to try out loads of cues and that included the budget ones. To be honest the cheaper cues can play just as well as the much more expensive ones but it's down to personal preference which one you will like the feel of.

I can recommend them for a service second to none. Give Stu a ring. I'm sure he gives a return service if you are not happy with the cue but I would ask to confirm.

I'm also a beginner and on the lookout for a new cue. I saw this exact set in a snooker hall shop but when I tried it out it felt very cheaply made and had signs of warping. I guess being able to try before you buy is a big help.
