                  The shaft has been hand planed down from a square block which is very very rare.
                  The only other cue maker which definately does this is Dave Coutts.

                      Ok, so you do this as well then my point was that most cue makers get the shafts already turned or turn them on a lathe.

                      Do you know exactly what cue makers start from square block??

                            lol. Reg does it as standard as does Jason & Dave coutts. But as you guys say, time is money.

                            IMO I dont mind whether its hand planed down from square of whether a lathe/cnc makes it round before being finished with hand plane.

                            Providing it feels good, that is all that matters.
