Ah well, I had to try. ;-)
They really are beautiful cues, and as the old man won't give me his for a long time yet, I had to try to convince you that you don't want to keep yours! (Which, when you really think about it, I'm sure you don't really want such a beautiful, incredible playing cue just sitting in a case not being used.......) lol.
And, yes, there are lots wrong with pool. It is the women and childrens version of snooker. Tiny table, silly rules (2 shots), and daft tactics (pocket blocking). There is so much more wrong with it, but using a cannon match cue for the game, well, thats just showing off. They are far too good for that game!! Anyway, I'll leave it now, as I'm not getting into a discussion with hundreds of people about my feelings towards pool. :-)
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

My apologies to those who have expressed interest in the cue. I paid 165 GBP ,equivalent to $275 au at the time over a year ago for the cue alone not to mention shipment from the UK. It is a beautiful cue and plays extremely well and not ready to let it go at the moment. These 1st Edition Cannon Match cues with 2 screws in the badge seldom come up for sale and are a good find for a collector.
A stunning pear-shafted 1st Edition sold on ebay for around 250GBP 2 years ago. A 2nd Edition on ebay went for a reasonable price a few weeks back.

lol we have all been there - yes not a bad cue - would benefit from a new ferrule etc if as a player - not the prettiest shaft but stiff enough to use - £120.

                        ADR:

The 5th one from the left, I noticed the joint is quite high on the cue. If it's not too much trouble can you measure the shaft length for me as it just might fit in my large suitcase and I can avoid the pesky extra baggage charge from the airlines if it does.

Specs probably would help too, but as a spare cue I'm pretty loose on those.

                              ADR:

Rats!!! It's about 4in too long for the diagonal in my big suitcase. Won't fit even if I had it cut down to 57".

OK - do you have any centre-jointed cues at 57", around 18oz, 29mm butt and 9.4-9.5mm ferrule? Balance doesn't matter and any brand will do as long as an ash shaft. Bonus if it has an SD butt socket that will take TW, JP or even O'min extensions, but I can live without that and use a slip-on.

Please PM me with price if you happen to have something, including shipping to Canada.

                              Thanks,

In that case I think I'll hold out for an ash one. Can you let me know if/when you get one in and how much. (Also, if you do ever get a pearwood one, I'd defo be interested in that.
I can email you a few pics of a pearwood one if you like...
