Me want!!!!! Camkins are fantastic cues (got some pics of a friends maple camkin when I can put them up in the thread) and it plays awesome, but would love to get me hands on one of my own, especially a pear version! I'm sure once everything is sorted and started, he will not forget you, will not prioritise others over you, and will create you a fantastic cue. Others you can try contacting to see if they will use it are - Dave Coutts (Coutts cues), Robin Cook, Robert Osborne, Tony Glover (Glover cues), and a whole host of others. Just because it isn't advertised, doesn't mean they wont do it. (It normally means it will be more expensive if they will).

Finally, I got my cue without 7 months!!!
As a customer , I need that kind of service, DC always able to reply within 3-4 days.
I’m very happy with my Coutts cue and will place another order to Coutts cue next two yrs.Comment

You will be happy with the level of service from tony glover then, plus he'll make you a pearwood shaft cue- however the last one i looked at in his workshop was a bit on the whippy side. He did tell me he'd make one but it wouldn't be as good a player as maple and ash so decided against it and stuck with mapleComment

Dean,when I said that I have played with three pear shafted cues I should have said "owned".The pear Camkin is still in my posession and unfortunately there is a waiting list of people who want to own her,but I am not selling.I have asked Jason Owen,Chris Lloyd,Mike Fearnley,ADR and Andy Hunter (via a third party) and none of them has ever seen a pear shafted Camkin before,so you can be sure that it is a rarity,if not actually a one off.I am not sure if it was made to order or a mistake during production,but one thing is sure ,its staying with me.Incidentally although machine spliced and one piece it has a proportionally short shaft in relation to total length.I am convinced that this helps with shaft stiffness and playability.Comment
