These two companies are well established names when it comes to Thai cues. I have tried both series... they play well and are of good quality. I find Mastercue tends to play a bit stiffer than Omin but I wouldn't put one above the other... Seriously, it would be up to individual preference. Have a hit with both.
I think you can try out Mastercue at Snooker Zone in Toa Payoh Central. You can check Omin cues out at Snooker Culture at Lee Kai House, Bugis Street. Both places should allow you to test play the cues... My info could be a little outdated though, so my apologies if there are any inaccuracies wrt these 2 places...

yap heard they are both good brands..i have a masterue tm1 machine made cue but it warp quite badly.well it was cheap cue but it does play well with the price now i am being offered a probutt 3 and a classic..going to try out a probutt next week..its a good deal 27with soft case and 2 extensions.the mastercue have a much nicer design too. so hard to make up my mind
anyway have u heard of vaccum joint?i heard mastercue had joint problem but had solve it by using vacuum joint
Personally never had joint problems before. Joints are usually such hardy stuff that I wouldn't worry too much about... Just treat your cue properly and don't bang them on hard surfaces. A good quality cue would probably last better and longer than you or me...

i dont know what problem it was..but i had two friends who broke their cue at the joint area..both was master cue..and both was drop on the floor..a carpet floor ..i couldnt believe it either.. one was the pro butt series and another was the lower end tudor series.. luckily nothing happen to mine..expect its so badly warp by now
...and both was drop on the floor..a carpet floor...
Wow, dropped from the rooftop? Lol...
I sometimes commit the cardinal sin of leaning my cue against the table (just for a moment though) and it slipped onto the floor... luckily, it remained intact.
