If you want something real cheap, I say Walmart--but it is rubbish. Bright side is you get to have a cue with Pamela Anderson's picture on the butt. :-D.
Why you want to buy a snooker cue in NY? Snooker is really not popular in the US. You better off buy a cue on ebay and have it shipped to NY. I am talking about those budget cue with extensions and a case for under $100.

Nope.you will not get to buy it retail wise from any sports or cueshop,cos they really dont carry those at all, There is a store in Manhattan around 12st with the name of BLATT BILLIARD years ago they carry peradon brand,but I went back there 8 months ago and they dont carry anymore just left a few of the cheapees........but if you want quality cue with a Budget ( china Cues ) you can go to PRINCE SNOOKER IN BROOKLYN,,look for Tommy Chen...he have fews quality cues and few high grade cues,,,just tell him Jo Ong sent you....goodluck

when dealing with the usa i always try joe neilson at www.joerackem.com he knows his stuff on all cue sports and is very helpful, obviously he specialises in us pool cues but if anybody can help you it will be him. but in general NY / USA is not the place to buy a snooker cue

If you can get Brooklyn, go to Top147. They have a range of Chinese handspliced cues (all made by BLP). Very good quality considering. Also provide nice leather 3/4 cases. Try the out on the tables.
