  • Joe davis / w a camkin

Hi, All ,I am looking to sell 3 cues i have owned for around 15 years, but first i would like to find out a little more about them, the first is a joe davis 138 ,2501,it is ash and i think made by peradon,

The other two are wa camkin ,possibly maple
The plate on the first reads The wa camkin designed snooker cue.
The circular plate on the second reads Birmingham billiards wa camkin limited.

Any help welcome , i don,t think i can post pictures , but if anyone wants to email me, i will send them some .

    Many thanks, Jim.

    My email is jimmy.mooney1@gmail.com

There are a lot of websites such as "oldcues.co.uk" (perpetual boredom-Forum member) "cueguru" ( Jason Owen-Forum member), "vintagebilliards.co.uk ( Chris Lloyd-big Jo Davis specialist), "jssbilliards" ( Ken Walton), "thecuecollector","cues n views",etc, etc, etc. There are very many forum members who could help, but you need 10 posts or more to PM and post j.pegs.This would enable you to communicate with individual forum members directly. On Chris s website there are j.pegs of a Riley & a Peradon Jo Davis 138,you could compare badges to help you identify your cue.On Cue Guru s website there are Camkin j.pegs.The " Camkin personally selected and designed" is usually hand spliced, has a burr or rosewood front splice and is generally ash or maple. The "round badge" ,from personal experience is not such a common cue, again rosewood front splice,burr-rarely.Hope this helps, good luck with your research.
