Oh no, I enjoy this forum and don't want to risk a ban... hahaha.

Andy's cues sure look good... you got more competition now...

oops, I see what you mean.
A friend of mine got a Mastercraft cue earlier this year and I cannot fault the design, quality of build, and playability. Very nice cue for good money.

I personally like the Dave Coutts cue very much. His work is very well executed yet understated and elegant. I have had the pleasure to play with a few of his cues and they are top cues in every aspect.

                      Damien,
There are lots of great cue makers such as Mike Wooldridge, Dave Coutts, Trevor White, John Parris, Robert Osborne...and they are all top craftsmen. Their work are a true inspiration and a real delight to look at and admire. I have learnt a lot from looking at and playing with their works of art. I consider myself very lucky to be living in this time when we have so many great cues and top craftsmen. It is also a great thing for the cue collectors and players, in my opinion, to have so many options. I do not really look at them as competition, more like a group of passionate people who share the same love and passion of cue making. Besides, they are better than me so...

                      Cueinhand,
Is it possible to look at both cues from all four angles if it is not too much trouble to ask? Are the oil still wet when you took the picture of the Travis cue? The finish looks very different from other Travis I have seen on the forum.
                      Thank you.

                      Old School,
I am glad to hear you like a round butt cue. I personally like how the badge is rounded out to fit the butt on a round butt cue.
Richard (my partner in the workshop) has recently finished his own cue, which is a round butt 1 piece ash cue.
Richard made two matching minis then installed a badge and an extension socket on the 6" mini, and a badge at the end of the 2.5" mini.
Myself, I just play with a very simple looking cue, with a plain ebony mini. LOL
Although I play with a flat butt cue but there is something about a round badge that makes it very appealing. I must say I like how his cue has turned out.
Hope you like them. Thank you. ;-)

                        Hi Airin
If you like, I will add some pictures for both cues in different angles.
As I told , Andy applied wax on cue, I had removed it as I don't like wax, the cue refinish by oil from Dave Coutts.
No wet on cue when I took the pictures.

Cueinhand, you did a great job with your re-finishing job.:-) The finish looks very nice in the pictures.
If you don't mind I am sure we would all love to see more pictures of the cues from various angles--but only if you have the time. Thank you.:-)
                            Neil, yes, snakewood. :-)

I like a nice round butt too :-)

As pooljunkie says, there is a lot of cue makers out there and we are spoilt for choice.

Cueinhand: I forgot to mention matchplay-cues.com. There plain ebony butt is only £125. I have never seen one so cant comment on there quality. I have spoken to them in my time of loving cues but never seen one.
