I have yeh, not sure if he's put it up yet though.
He doesn't use oils as he says your just making the wood wet againt which promotes warping. Must us wax of some sort but wouldn't tell me! After 15hours play it's still super smooth!

Hello everyone, thought I would register as this post came up on a Google search when showing a friend my website.
This is Darren at Bristol Cue Service.
Thanks for the nice comments, not sure who you are Deepscrew but glad you were happy with the work I did, PM me and I will check that your testimonial is uploaded.
with regard to the oils, it is not quite true that I said oils make the wood wet and promote warping. I dont use oils for the simple reason that they dont last as long on the cue as the treatment I use on a cue does!
Also oils encourage dirt and grit to stick to the cue and you may have to continually wipe the cue down whereas the treatment I use means you dont have to wipe the cue down as often, however I do discourage the use of a wet/damp towel to wipe the cue down.
Please read more on my website regarding the process I use for refurbishing.
