as previously mentioned the comment was very much tongue in check.
Can I ask how you deal with cues with a kink a little way down from the tip?
Any advice gratefully received

yeah send it to a cue maker or cue doctor, and if they cock it up they owe you a new cue rather than you cocking it up making it ten times worse and being without any cue at all....
