Thanks hotpot for selling this lovely aurora cue to me . Lovely cue all around, from the shaft to the butt , especially the golden burr upper splices, love it so much. Really nice work from Airin , the aurora oil finishing is so good, the splicing of the cue is so shiny,it looks a bit dull in the pic, maybe because of the lighting and the poor quality of the picture, but trust me, the splices is really shiny .

Nice cue but i dont like the badge colour. I think Airin should change design.White badge with black print should make his cues looks better. Like john parris , trevor white for example.

          Thanks buddy =).
Just had a few frames with the cue, make a couple of 40+breaks with it. The cue play extremly well, shaft is responsive with medium stiffness. This is the lightest cue among all the cue i have now, but the power it provide is comparable with the others heavier cue i have or even better, this cue have a lot of feel when playing delicate shots in and around the black spot. in term of the playability its up there with the Robin Cook cue i have as my playing cue or even better feel as it is a one piece cue ( i prefer one piece cue), the taper of the cue is just nice for my liking, not like the other thai cues i have which taper are quite thick. Inconclusion, the cue not only looks nice but play even better =D :snooker:

                  The Aurora looks terrific!

What is the middle cue without a badge? That's a very good looking cue also. Can you tell me what the splices are?
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

The unbadge cue is from unclevit, splices with Macassar ebony with curly maple veneer

Jason, thank you for the review, appreciate it. Hotpot asked for a shaft with "as many chevrons as possible" and he also told me he liked a shaft that was not too stiff or thick but responsive and firm. I am very happy to hear that you made a couple 40+ breaks with your new Aurora cue. Enjoy.

Fedia, thanks for commenting on the cue. I had these badges specially made with platinum fonts on black backdrop by a Germany company which also does hot stamping on dashboards for European luxury cars. Only 2 companies in the world are able to do this.

For you and other peoples' information, the flat was planned and polished by hand (not machine planned) then polished again after the badge was fitted to flush with the contour of the butt before it is finished and sealed. The new black badge was so precisly cut and machined that it can be pressure fitted in the hole without any glue--once it is fitted it is so snug it cannot be taken out again without damaging the badge. There is no gap around the rim of the badge to allow any water/oil/or whatever...to sip in under to smear the fonts on the logo in the long run--as can be seen with some old H&O badges.

Anyway, thank you for your interest in my work.

Yes, and I also have a badge with platinum fonts on white.:-)

The cue is first class Airin and a work of art . Having had two of your cues an cues by other top cuemakers i think you certainly deserve to be rated alongside the other great cuemakers . Keep up the good work.

I sold this cue without Jason seeing it but was so confident that he would love it when he seen it and am glad he plays well with it . It thoroughly deserves a good home .

                              Look after it muck .
