    Go see stu at greenbaize.

    Google greenbaize.

He will advise you on tips and many of us on here have our recommendations and favourites.

U will need to make up ur own mind.

Elkmaster is good cost effective way to start.

Sorry to hijack a thread but can anyone recommend an 11mm tip to put on a cue with no ferel, would like one with a base to it similar to a wafer?

To the op, there is a thread called the mike wooldridge guide to replacing your tip. That tells you how to do it properly yourself if you didn't want to pay for it to be done by someone else. Buy a few tips from adr147 and experiment a bit if you like. Tips ate not that expensive (unless you try a moori or kamui) the others are about £5 for a laminated tip or a few quid for a pressed tip.

@culraven, as long as the wafer is on properly and the end of the cue is perfectly flat, any 11mm tip should be ok.
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

Do i have to use a wafer or is there a tip available which incorporates a bottom layer giving the appearance of a wafer without the hassle of having to re tip using traditional methods which i'm not to confident with?
