Mastercraft cue reveiw

had a really good session today made a 73 should have made a ton love this cue and can see many more breaks coming. I think I will change the tip as I had quite a few miss cue when playing with a lot of side.
One thing I didn't mention was the finish on the cue which is first class.

Sorry if I am butting in here on this thread Caz, but would you have you played with other top brands (Peardon, Parris, etc)and would you recommend MasterCraft ahead of these?
Thing is, I'm looking to buy a decent cue (finally). . The most important thing for me is is the weight/balance and feel of the butt-end in my hand. I picked up a savage cue in the hall the other day and I couldn't miss with the thing-it just felt great, like it was an extension of my arm. I asked the girl who works there could i buy it but she said no. It was an MBS (cheap enough) but it felt great.

Every piece of wood is different so no garuantees any cue from any maker will feel how you want or expect.

Cazmac has had a fair number of cues from all makers i believe and from this review mastercraft seem the real deal to him to.

They certainly tick all the boxes for me also.

I'm using a Riley 2 piece ash cue with a marble-ised butt. I bought it last January but quite bored with it now. I prefer the look of the 3/4 cues.

If it has to feel right for you then I think the best thing to do is play with the cue before buying it as buying blind sometimes the result doesnt feel right for you.

I would take the trip to craftsmans or greenbazie where you can play with loads of different cues and pick the one which feels and plays best.

Also bear in mind the tip will a factor in how it plays.

Cheers Jaffa. I live in Dublin so I'd have to order it. Riley's is only shop that sell cues here really, but the selection isn't great and they are over priced. As long as it's light and doesn't have that crappy lacquer on it, I'd be happy, plus want a nice wooden butt. Can always change tip to Talsiman or Kamui for more feel in the shot.

So, the other top end cues you had done weren't what you asked for were they caz?

Alright lads, received mine today just in time for christmas. However, the butt was damaged slightly during shipping. You have no idea how upset I am. The key to the cue craft case was put on top of middle portion of the butt, why would someone think that is a good idea is beyond me. The case obviously got thrown around during shipping and the key very nicely dug into the butt. The cue craft case also has a section for chalks, put the key in there! Anyways, I played with it for a bit and Dave has done a fantastic job with the cue. I will email him about the damage and if he handles the situation fairly, I am a customer for life. I'll keep you posted as to what Dave says when he gets back to me.

I will also post pictures of the cue and the damage within the next few days. Again, can't go wrong with these guys, fantastic cue. Pity for it to be damaged during shipping.
