Brucie was about 5ft 11 and towers over joe by about 4 inches. I reckon joe must have been about 5ft 7.

I would speculate that the balance point was around the 16 mark or less if it was 55" and close to 17oz. Depends on taper and density of shaft but the short length really brings the BP back, and that might explain the longer bridge as you suggest Cazmac.
                  Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

Hi eaoin, I think you know what I'm getting at.
I wounder if anyone can complete this list..
Joe Davis world champ 55 inch cue
Ray Readon world champ 55 inch cue
Graham Dott world champ 55 inch cue.

If there are any more please add to the list. I don't know how tall ray was butt it would seem that if you are below average height a smaller cue works better. Tall players like Steve Davis seem to have better success with longer cues. If someone can think of an exception to this rule can they please post who. Can anyone tell be how tall Alex Higgins was as it seems to me in his early years he played with a very short cue.

From looking at pictures of Ray & Alex i'd say Ray was a couple of inches taller than Alex so perhaps arouns 5'10 ish?

If that were true Jim then ray would have be around 6ft that would mean playing with a 55 inch cue would be like playing with a tooth pick!
