Surely got to be some trick photography here? Splicing on Stephen's cue can't have been that bad? Doesn't look like Stephen's hand holding the cue. He's got what looks like an arthritis band on. Wouldn't have thought someone as young as Stephen would wear something like this? Interesting photo. Must get myself a Conny with an uneven splice and maybe I can play better. LOL. Already got the arthritis in the wrist!!

It is Stephen's cue it is from his coaching book, also I have seen picture of Hendry playing in the 80's with this bracelet on. I had a Connoisseur and it looked very cheap, the ebony splicing looked like they were painted on the butt at the very tip was 32mm and flared out, Hendry must have had the end cutt off as there is no flaring out and it has a original badge on.

As far as i can remember hendry had a metal nameplate replacing where the original one was as powerglide did this as an option on their rex williams original model, could possibly have been done by them. The butt of most connoisseurs ive seen were around 32mm as is the 1piece purist of the same vintage that i have.

Can anyone tell me what laminated ash is as this guy has described his connoisseur as having because ive never heard this term before?
