hi, i have a nice cue but it is bent slightly at the shaft, is there any way of getting it back to its original shape or is it just buggered??? and i presume a bent cue is gonna effect the play a lot?/ many thanks, tristan
An ex-South African provicinal champion down my club says he can do it but I haven't put him to the test yet. He re-tips everyones's cue's and stuff, ferrell's I.E. Thats in London so.........
Its very possible to repair a bent cue i looked into it myself as i had a john parris cue i wanted repairing. however i was told it can be repaired but would more then likely bend again as the cue had a weakness in it
old enough to know whats its all about, too old to actually do it.....

id say that is the case in most "fixed bends" though not all, so, possibly worth a try fixing it if not too costly
Some years ago I took a selection of cues to a Newcastle maker called Tony Hines. One of them had quite a significant bend in it and I asked if it could be fixed. He put his foot against it and bent it back at such an alarming angle I fully expected it to snap. It didn't. The operation took about five seconds and he handed the cue back to me perfectly straight saying: "Don't try that yourself." I never have.

lol
ive seen that done with "pub cues" normally used for breaking off at pool, and know it works, but its quite dangerous.
in both cases the bend is more likely to "come back" than not, IMHO
