Probably could have got more on ebay, but am sick of giving ebay listing fees and final value fees.
Yes the JP was made for Nigel Bond in 1996 and 3/4 Quick Release joint added by Rileys (original Riley co of Burnley) in 1999. Shortly afterwards, approx 2000 mini-butt joint added by Maurice Job of Mansfield (cue-doctor) and solid Ebony Mini-butt supplied also. Been looked after by Cue Craft ever since... It's a beauty and I've gradually had tip size reduced to current 8.75mm from 10mm originally as my game has improved. It's a fantastic cue for long potting with very little deflection as it's so stiff. Cue Craft have done a sterling job with my Custom Marksman which they modelled on the Ultimate specs for me...hence sold it...
Just need to make a century with the Marksman now and I'll be well happy!!!
Good luck Mat and let me know how you get on with it... Dave, Snookerpoolman

There is a lot of hocus pocus talked about tips on here I find... Elks are 50p over here, sometimes less. Blue Diamonds (too soft for my taste, but still a good tip) average approx 70p. Why anyone would pay 5 / 6 / 7 (or 11 if you go to see Mr Chesworth I'm told) quid I'll never know... hey ho...horses for courses and all that..

When you factor in the postage costs to and from JP and the inevitable months of waiting for completion, is it really worth it?
However, all that said, far easier to get used to playing with a slightly smaller tip me thinks!!

After a while i just got annoyed with it, cut the shaft above the split and sent it to parris cues, in about 3 weeks i had the cue back, in that time they had respliced it, made a new butt for it and extended it, rejointed the cue, put a new ferrule and tip on and refinished the cue.
At the time it cost £185 to have that all done, the cue feels better than it did previous to the damage, it does have slightly weird proportions though with them having to work with the slightly shorter shaft, the butt length from butt end to tip of splices is around 26-27 inches i think. And obviously the shaft is slimmer immediately after the joint than most cues.
Its over there at the minute as the ebony on the butt has slightly expanded and needs trimmed back slightly, considering getting an SD joint on it while its there, very good service though any time ive dealt with them.
