I dont sell fake cues and my prices are standard. You paid £550 for the cue that cost £70 max.

Just to set the record straight for everyone. My Will Hunt Green Plate is a one piece which I purchased from a collector who bought it directly from WH in 2001/02 and never used the cue. I did NOT pay 550pounds as woolf had said above but I did trade a Will Hunt Black Plate for this green plate along with a cash difference coming my way.

I know my green plate is genuine since the ebony is truly pure black and it's not dyed plus the ash in the shaft is first rate and very straight grained plus the cue workmanship is definitely from WH without a doubt.

I think I would know a fake WH cue if I saw one just as I recognized a fake 'Hunt & O'Byrne' a few weeks ago which was fairly new and being offered as a genuine H&O cue and I had to inform the owner that they have nothing to do with either Will Hunt or Robert Osborne and O'Byrne retired to Australia years ago.

BESIDES WHICH WOOLF HAS NEVER EVEN SEEN THIS CUE AS I HAVEN"T PUBLISHED ANY PHOTOS ANYWHERE so perhaps he is one of those very gifted people who can tell a fake from a couple of thousand miles away? Or maybe he's just trying to get rid of any competition to the really high prices he asks for on eBay. I do happen to recognize he doesn't lower his prices if he sells a cue on here and doesn't have to pay the eBay commission (how fair is that?)

Well, in any argument, it's important not to let emotion affect the your point, very often it happens, the argument goes nowhere and that becomes personal..hence Terry's outburst.

In this case, woolf147/Fedia/ultimate147 whatever idiot name this person has is just an juvenile and amateur attempt to offend others, which im not surprised at his/her intellectual abilities' limit...

This is what sets us and him/her apart...in terms of "depth" which he/her is clearly lacking.

Terry, curious though why would you trade an blackplate for an greenplate

Maybe he has some information . He has mis read Terry's meaning of a new cue , i think .

                      neil:

It's too difficult for me to upload photos to here as I'm on a very slow rural wireless broadband. It's much easier if you send me an email as they will upload quicker that way. I've tried before and it usually takes 2 or 3 attempts to upload to my photo album on here.

                      Izzy:

I only buy cues that I can play with, I'm NOT a cue collector and I found the black plate to be way too stiff which was a real surprise for me as it had been owned by a billiards pro and I figured they would not use cues that were so stiff.

In the end, looking at the trade I did with a collector, I did get my money back and this green plate I got in trade is a really good playing cue although it's a one piece. I've since had an Aurora cue made with an identical shaft flex but as a 3/4 with the invisible joint from Aurora and if I wasn't in mid-season I'm pretty sure I would have changed to it already but I think I'll wait until June to try and get used to it.

To be honest Terry, no pictures or anything, I'd take your word over a certain other persons.
One of you is honest and pleasant, the other is, for lack of a better term, a lying con artist.

I'd like to than everyone for their support. I have managed to upload some photos of my WH green plate and now I'll see if I can attach them to this post.

Now let's see if that worked or not.

As you can all see this is a genuine WH green plate, 18.8oz, 58", 9.5mm. 29mm butt diameter and balanced at 17". The shaft is very straight grained ash and the ebony in the butt is not dyed

Got too much reflected light to clearly see the badge, but it's a normal WH badge
