  • Mark Williams new cue

Just watching the masters and Mark Williams is using a new cue against Maguire. Looks to be another player using the Traditional Parris style of cue. Wonder how long he has had this for?

Im sure that other cue company is happy, they measured his cue and were producing exact replicas, now back to square one

Yeah, seems daft to take down measurements and sell a cue as a replica knowing that players quite often change cues pretty regularly these days. I'm not really certain that this is a new cue though on closer inspection, looks like it could just be the same cue but perhaps lengthened and has had a splicing and thick maple veneer in the style of the traditional. The joint is still above the splicing as before but the grain looks to be quite similar so that is why I think it maybe his old cue. Have to wait and see if he mentions it after the game.

It is not another company who made the cue , john parris alterated his old cue.

Craftsman took measurements of his cue and were making replicas of it, now its changed so theyre going to have to add this version to their range of Williams replica cues:

Basically, if I understand this correctly, Mark Williams is not using any cue made by Craftsman and certainly not using a cue that looks like any of the Mark Williams replica cues. If he has just changed his spec then these replica cues are not even built to the same spec as Mark's current playing cue.

It really is none of my business but just thinking perhaps marketing them as a line of cues endrosed by Mark Williams would be more appropriate than calling them replica of his cue. If someone buys one of these believing that he is buying a cue that is supposed to look like Mark's cue with the same dimension then find out on TV he is using a very different cue he may not be very happy.

i think personally I'd be more inclined to believe Mr parris rather than people on here that pretend that they are in the know! If JP says its a new cue then its a new cue.
