how to make cues

starting out with wheel barrow handles made of ash??? haha seems like the only thing i can find without custom ordering so far.. unless i glue two 1" planks together to get the thickness..

I started on old brush shafts which I experimented on and bought up old suitable furniture made of suitable wood for the butts.......dont laugh.

Not as daft as it sounds the old brush/broom shafts were made of ash and were perfect to practise on.

andy if you ran a cue making class i am 100% sure it would be well attended!

Now that would be interesting ........totally useless at any form of manual work .....but would love to watch a cue being made .

I think maybe snooker should introduce a rule that every professional player must use a cue he has made himself, sort of like Jedis and lightsabers.

Could really shake up the rankings a bit.

oh I don't doubt they werent made with ash.. I was actually thinking about picking up some wheel barrow handles that were made from ash they come in perfect length just a 1/4" thicker. I Just need to call up a few places to check on costs for ordering before going down that route. Andy you could always stream a class online
