  • which wood to use for the butt and weight difference

Hi I'm ordering a new cue in the coming week and deciding which wood to go with. Defo ash shaft and thinking olive or thuyra burr splices. As I'm getting my cue copied spec wise will there b a different feel weight wise as my old cue is ebony with one front splice.

The weight will be made the same as ur current cue. The feel will be different in chamfer, the fact its a different natural product etc. Ebony differs in weight and so does the process of making the cue.

If ur cue is 3/4 then it will be solid ebony butt. If it is one piece it will contain lead as weight.

Not all the time, some 1 piece cues can be just natually weighted, depends on the shaft density with some being heavier than others.
