Awesome videos Mike! Thanks!!
Question: So the wood "moves" as you cut which creates high/low spots? And then how long before the wood settles? Is there a way of accelerating the process?Mayur Jobanputra, Snooker Coach and Snooker Enthusiast

Mike would show jesus to be a liar. I say about the process of making a cue being a pretty closely guarded secret one day, the following day mike posts these videos! Very good videos though! If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

I thought I'd share a video I found about cue crafting by a local guy in my city. It's not snooker cues but American pool cues. still interesting how ever. http://vimeo.com/11061023

Excellent stuff Mike, thanks for sharing .... I laughed at "I'm going to use a power planer ... because ... I'm not stupid", nice one.
Gotta tell you tho' mate, I had a thought running through my head while watching, I was thinking Jason Statham's guide to cue making
Looking forward to some more! (Favour request ... you wouldn't say 'Zee Germans' in the next one please, that would make my day)
