There are many good cue makers. I'm not from UK. But one thing I know for sure.
The cue makers from UK are the best in the world. This applies to their snooker players too. For me : the old black plate by Will Hunt. The great master. And at this time, Glover and MW cues.
Anyway, Respect for these people. Thanks to their abilities, we can still buy som good quality cues. And of course, learning to play snooker.

I actually bought a cue from GBL for half the money and its the best cue I have ever played with, there is a man who knows how to give excellent customer service well done Stu !!!)[/QUOTE]

A friend of mine bought a Maximum Ultimate cue. I saw him yesterday. I played a few shots with the cue. One of the most responsive / well playing cues I've ever seen. Especially the ash is perfect. I had never heard of these cues (Maximum Ultimate). He also, said many good things about Stu and his custmer service. For the first time I heard about this name (maximum cue).
Probably people of this Forum, already know that brand.

When it arrived it was bent so I took it back to Tony who to be fair agreed to fix it without hesitation. However when it came back it was still bent. So I took it back again to be straightened and to have a personalised name plate fitted. It came back still bent and the name plate looks like Stevie Wonder fitted it with a chainsaw and a glue machine gun. As I said before I know alot of people who have bought Tony Glover cues without any problems. Persoanally I would rather play with a line prop ( I actually bought a cue from GBL for half the money and its the best cue I have ever played with, there is a man who knows how to give excellent customer service well done Stu !!!)

I had never heard of this brand, until yesterday. I must say, the quality of the ash was amazingly good. But especially the balance of the cue was absolutely perfect. I heard from my friend, they are not cheap. But for what I saw, they are absolutely worth the money.

Very nice. I hope he plays well. The Maximum cue what I saw yesterday was bit lighter in color (mean the shaft). also very stiff shaft. Balance point: 17.5 inches. If this one plays as well, then indeed very nice cue. Especially nice finish on the shaft.

I think what you are mentioning is Maximus not Maximum, I have a TW & a 2 Maximus Ultimate (One sold).
I love both TW & Maximus Ultimate.... Great cues.

But only the Maximus Ultimate series, not the classic or premium. Different quality of ash wood being used.
I have check the selling price on GB ~~~~ WOW !!!!

I know what you mean. With all due respect for TW cues, but I think the balance of the Ultimate series are much better. I've never seen such a perfect balance.
The last cue that I saw with this perfect balance, was a black L MW.
The ash what they use is absolutely top quality. Of course you pay for it.
I have 3 brothers. One plays with MW cue. The younger one, wants a new cue. I called Stu. I bought him a maximums Ultimate
                      1 piece / 58 "/ 18:25 OZ/9.5mm tip/17.25" balance point. Is a beauty.
Not received. I think Stu will send it tomorrow.
But you're right. They are not cheap. For the quality / balance / type ash / you get more than what you pay for.
And I can't say enough good things about Stu. Customer serviece perfect.

You have a very nice looking cue. But if you want something shorter. I think Stu can take care of that. I do'nt know which courier he uses. UPC? DHL? OR ....
