Scottish snooker players have dominated a lot of the top snooker rankings for much of the past few decades at the top level so I also think that is a bit unkind to say they are not much threat don't you?
might also look silly come the WC's

            • What cue does Bingham use? He endorses Riley Sightright but does he use it for his games?

some have said it is a SightRight cue, others have said it is his old Gary Taylor cue altered by SightRight; and yes he does use it as you can see the little white marker thing on the butt.

Thanks Dean, just interested as his name was in thread and I didn't know what cue he used.

Can this be true, where did he get his decades old wood when he first started? Where does he get it from now, why doesn't everyone get it from the same place?
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I think this has been discussed before in this forum ( manytimes ).... As already mentioned by ADR : in reality most players use their geographically nearest cue maker.
Some think that pros don't pay and get these cue's for free. Believe me, they have to pay just like you. paying 800 pounds for a JPU would'nt be a problem for ROS. He has enough money. These guys always get more than one cue offered to try , so they can choosing one of them !! ( the one it's suits his game ).
Is not only jp who does this . Robert OS made a few cues for ros (4 or 5), a few years ago. So that he can choose one of them.
Someone like MW OR TW do'nt do this !!!
These guys don't need publicity!! does that mean these guys are bad cue makers and making a poor quality cues?? absolutely not.
I heard yesterday that Ryan Day plays with a praram limited range !!! He is also a pro.
praram limited range is 100% handmade and they are not cheap either!!
The fact is that every cue has its own character. You can't say a cue range is the best. Because such a thing does not exist!!

Well according to the literature that he used to send out years back that was the point of the Ultimate range and that very few cue makers still make cues this way. We obviously know that Dave Coutts is old school in that respect but why do you think Parris don't hand plane the Ultimate range?

you really know that for sure, so it would be impossible for me to know folks who have supplied him shafts.........

i do not wish to get involved with more nonsense on how cues are made - each cue should be judged on it's own merit.
