HELP can you diagnose my cue

for a few weeks now my cues making a "dink" sound when striking the cueball soft or firm has anyone got an idea what it maybe without seeing the cue. its one piece, its got a joint in the bottom for extension.
any opinions would be much appreciated

Either the tip, ferrule, weight or SD joint.

Majority of times in my experience its been the ferrule or tip.

Do you live near a cue maker?

being a 1pc, my vote would be tip/ferrule.
If it was a 3/4 or 2pc I would say clean the joint

nearly always a loose ferrule.

ferule/tip for sure . never seen a but joint for extensions making noise , or else you must smach your butt on the ground when frustrated after missing

A one piece with a slack weight perhaps if none of the others,hold the cue just above the splices and smack it really hard into the open palm of your other hand and see if it rattles. Take the tip off and very gently with a pair of pliers see if the ferrule is ready to unscrew.

its my first decent cue so i was flapping a bit lol

got my ferrele sorted yesterday its an 8mm tip so i think im going to ease off on the break.
