  • One piece cue case.

Hi there, I have recently joined the forum and would like to pick the brains of all my fellow snooker lovers. Today I ordered a cue from Andy Travis and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a decent priced one piece cue case...now I know you can get them from practically anywhere nowadays..the problem is that the cue Andy is making for me is 60 inches long...and all the cases that are 60 inches long will not fit a 60 inch cue

I look forward to hearing from you all.

I think this question cropped up a few weeks ago. You'd be lucky if you find a second hand one which will hold such a lengthy cue, so I imagine it will end up having to be custom made. If you are willing to get one custom made then I'd recommend either a Stamford or a North wales cue case. I hope this helps :snooker:

Just measured the interal length of a 1 pc ally cue craft case and if you were to remove the chalk compartment you'd get just over 60"

Pottr I happen to be 6 2 and exceptionally good looking I have a long back swing and was advised to get a longer cue by one of the old billiard stalwarts from my club...I tend to snatch some shots due to the fact I can't take my back swing as far back as feels naturally comfortable me. A couple of the lads in my snooker club have Stamford cases for their JP cues. I was on the Interweb today looking at Cue Craft Cases...so I think that will be my 1st port of call...I will just place my chalk between mini butt and extension. Snookerloopy_08 thanks for taking the time to measure your case...much appreciated .

              extra long case

I think i saw some cue craft aluminium cases from Stu at Greenbaize that where smaller than normal so perhaps they can make them longer on request

Thanks for all the replies. Some of the lads down my snooker club have Stamford cases for their JP cues. They are beautiful cases but extremely expensive. (IMHO) I was looking at Cue Craft Cases on the interweb yesterday so that will probably be my first choice. Thanks to snookerloopy_08 for taking the time to measure your Cue Craft Case for me, much appreciated.

I have a Stamford slim one piece. Costly indeed but I think it's worth every penny.

Mine one is 59", and I am using a cue craft aluminium one piece case which can only hold a maximum 58" cue I think. So what I did is to cut a little gap of that chalk tray to fit the top of cue. Hope this help.

I have found the following cases that appear to be of good length:
                            http://www.craftsmancues.com/acatalo...cue_cases.html - Can hold 2 x 1pc cues up to a length of 60.25"
                            http://www.cuepower.co.uk/blue-and-b...se-p-1223.html - •Internal Dimensions without accessory compartment 153cm x 3cm.

http://www.wrightcues.co.uk/cases.htm - have two cases that are externally over 158cm so "should" hold a 153cm(60") cue
                            http://www.peradon.co.uk/cue-cases/o...).aspx#product - interior 60½" (153.5cm)
                            http://www.peradon.co.uk/cue-cases/o...).aspx#product - interior 62½" (158.5cm)

                            hope this helps

How are the quality of the wrightcues cases Dean? The price is quite reasonable.
