Is it a Peradon cue by any chance?

As I said, I won't discuss the maker and in their defense the cue plays well and the hit is solid. It is also a work of beauty so other than this minor blemish I am very happy. The only concern surrounding the joint is that of longevity as I guess there may be a risk of splintering etc... I'll give them a call tomorrow and I'm sure they will resolve it.Comment

Guys, I'm going to call this problem solved. As I do a bit of wood turning in my spare time I'm not phased by a little tinkering. I've applied a single fine layer of epoxy to the joint on the female side. Its seems that the tolerances are so tight in these joints that this was enough to close the gap. It makes me appreciate the difficulty in producing cues to a high standard when something so small makes a difference! If I have any issues with the joint in future I think I'll just send the cue to Mike for an F1 joint
