I really like the sound of this ferrule and am very interested in this thread but would like to point out the risk of violating forum rules regarding marketing like when an Accurest thread was deleted in the accessories forum.

The reasons for the thread deletion is really none of your concern but as you mentioned it yes the thread was deleted and the member put into a fully moderated usergroup along with 6 other member who think that they can use this forum to promote their products free of charge and with out even asking permission and not paying for the privilege like many advertisers do on TSF every year.

Why should one company get free advertising when others pay, remember the advertising pays the forum bills, we are not a tin hat operation which can run on a £40 a year hosting package, we run over 3 servers, one dedicated for the main site, one mySQL server and one CDN all to give you a free service which nobody else can match, advertising revenue recently paid for over £1,400 worth of forum upgrades which included, new forum software a iPhone app, a Android app and a Facebook app which gives the members better access to the forum on the move or while at work, if we allowed people to promote for free then we would not be here.

There are a few people who have permission to commercially post on TSF and Mike is one of them.

sorry, i lost interest in your post when i hit the word free...

but on a serious note, i am considering a quick turnover of unfinished stock in the workshop, possibly offer them as a one-off to members here at a greatly reduced price in order to get the message out there quicker and allow more people to see and 'feel' for themselves.

also, an opportunity to clear out some of the ash that i wouldn't normally use, but still make for superb playing cues. got quite a lot that builds up over time...
