Yes I am very pleased with the cue, and the nice grain is a bonus. It's my main playing cue so I am getting on with it very well.

Here is aMW Legend - 15 (Small).JPGnother pic showing the grain

Id imagine it'll take a while for them to start appearing, that was like 20 cues in a few days that need weighted or other alterations done and sent out.

                    • It was an ash shaft, cue no. #23 it was, heavy dark grain, looks a bit like an old cue Mike said, he said it was his favourite too
58", 9.7 ferrule, asked for 18.5oz, (closer to 18.3 better)
Just hope my neighbours in to take delivery !!

                        I got #20, antique look so I'm assuming heavy grain, 9.5mm, 57" 17oz. A cue with character

                        • Will be interesting to see how many of those who have ordered end up playing with this as their main playing cue. Obviously Mike has a bit of a risk involved selling cues not deemed as good enough to be full price and could affect his reputation, though I highly doubt anyone will be too critical. I'm mainly interested to see what people think of this ferrule idea. At the moment we've heard some good comments but not the sort of praise I think you'd be looking for if its as revolutionary as Mike claims it is.

I know Jim had a blackspin off him and sold it soon after, I believe Terry used one for a short while too but haven't had seen any updates from him and there have been about another 2 or 3 other members who have had cues and said the hit sounds more crisp but that was about it. So if any of you that have ordered a cue can give a longer term feedback over a period of a few months it would be a better conclusion as to whether these are the real deal and could be a change in the way cues are made in the future.

no risk. my 'worst' cues are equal or better to anyone else's

there's nothing to criticise. the cues i'm sending out are spot on. wait and see the comments.

i wish people would not use the word 'claim'. it makes it sound seedy and unbelievable.

i've said from the start EXACTLY what this does. this has been verified by every tsf poster who has bought one and commented in this thread.

how many times does the same question have to be asked and answered before the penny drops?

incorrect, jim did not buy a cue from me. he bought it from someone else and sold it immediately. then got it back, then sent it to me so i could modify it (as i had requested the original owner to do).

he's now bought one of the sinbin cues.

last i heard he was enjoying it. but you know, it seems to be a disease that people on here have of changing cues. if he does tire of it, it won't be cos it ain't good...

crisp and low deflection. their words, not mine.

it won't suddenly make anyone and everyone make hundred breaks, but it breeds confidence (crisp contact), and aids/improves shots with side/screw/stun.

that's more than enough to psychologically help anyone improve their game.

can't be a bad thing no matter how hard others try try to dismiss it...

why don't you just buy one and see for yourself? after a few months you can report back with your findings.

let's face it, you'll get your money back on ebay, or here. so you have nothing to lose eh?

and the conclusion will be all yours, not someone else's opinion.

i swear to god, i kept looking at it today and all i could see was £200+ lost.

                              it's a lovely cue mate.

                              • CUEMAN sounds like hes out to crucify all skepticism haha mike i tried one of your blackspin ferrules on one of your cues a friend of mine recently purchased, and i wont lie. i think its brilliant. probably one of the best feeling cues ive had a hit with to date. im tempted to have my cues (as much as i love them as they are) sent up there for some alterations. but theres always that 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' mentality going on in the back of my head. and the price sending it back and forth and risk of damage either way (ive had a percentage of stuff delivered from the UK come damaged before) makes me think, maybe ill wait til sometime later on to have it modified. actually, i have an american spec cue being made. can you do 11.5mm blackspin ferrules?
