  • Cuewatch dont get ripped off

If members come across any Fakes Rip-off Merchants and other double-dealings , post information about them on this Thread so other members can be warned and not part with their cash, I know we wont stop it but we can make things harder for them, make a note of this thread as anyone could fall foul of these B*******.

In an ideal world, we could get the fake cue people and the non-payers together, and the rest of us could
get on with paying a fair price for a genuine cue.

If you're going to launch a new career as a spell checker, his name is actually Willie Thorne.

I thought as this thread had came to a stand still I'd post this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/snooker-cu...#ht_500wt_1416 I can't be certain it's a fake, but judged by the pictures being so far out and the seller requesting not to be paid via paypal that it could be a possible con!

This cue was mentioned on Darrenlowes ultimate sale, i have asked for pic of badge and (more importantly) pics of shaft, nothing on listing yet lol, plus you should never pay without using paypal unless it's someone you have dealt with before, or can reasonably trust

When you are asking that sort of money for a cue I would think some DETAILED photos of the cue would be the norm ! lets face it this could be a cue from Sports Soccer or Argos

It can be a problem if the person doesn't have a paypal account. I don't have one as I had a fall out with Ebay years ago and don't trust them any further than I can throw them. As they own Paypal I now refuse to have a Paypal account. I don't consider myself dodgy in any way, just don't like being ripped off.

I've just been sent a link to this advert for a Robert Osborne cue on gumtree....

                        http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/ro...sale/101617821

The seller clearly isn't too bright, posting a picture of R.O's website page, showing genuine badges, and then his own cue with it's poorly faked badge.

Does that thing even have a ferrule or is the top of the ciue just one vast tip as seen in pic 6?

Not sure about this cue, no name badge, apparently it got made longer and the name badge wasn't put back on again. Nice looking stick though. Could be legit but not having a badge is a little suspect.
