  • Well this is "supposed" to be an Ultimate, so you could get the number and contact JP who will have a record of splicing involved on that number cue, then if it don't match, it's a fake.
Altho this might not work for every Ultimate as work could of been carried out on older cues. Lad in my club has had his Paragon re spliced so many times he has now spent over a grand on it !!!! It now has red, white and blue veneers, with 4 Kingwood splices, a bit of a Royal fan maybe

    • Spoke to Parris and John said they dont really have records before number ???? or so on the Ultimates, also the guy reckons he brought the cue off a J.J Faul (some pool player) any of you guys heard of him?

            • I wonder in the long run how much damage this fake thing will do to John Parris ? will people steer clear of any secondhand cue bearing his name lets face it if you ever wanted to change your cue and get a good re-sale price and put it on e bay there will be a lot of people out there thinking "Must be a fake" I for one would not purchase one no matter how real it looked, so will there end up a sort of stale mate (Cant sell it cant buy it) I have noticed a trend towards the lesser known makers where you are sure of getting the genuine article (In some cases at a fraction of the cost of a J.P.) To all out CUE WATCH DETECTIVES KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK and make it as hard as you can for these crooks.

Hmm, apparently the cue is in Hong Kong "at the minute". Just that location is enough to set alarm bells ringing. =/ to me the shaft looks a bit cack for a special cue. Veneer on the side also looks quite a bit out.

Also why do people class that as being jointed "below the splices" its clearly through the splices.

                          • Don't associate HK with China,

HK is still fine actually...but if it was china i'll pass definitely

The odd looking traditional makes its return.

He's also flogging a "red glue edition" ambassador
