Why do you think it's a fake just because someone has zero feedback ????? everyone has to start somewhere, got to be a 1st sale or purchase, Saying that it's a very very very short cue, can't see it selling, unless he made a balls up of measuring it
Like I said, I am no expert, just putting it out there for the experts to comment on. I agree you have to start somewhere, but that is a hell of a way to start. I also thought it was a bit short.
The vendor is recent new member to ebay, hence the 0 rating.
The badge looks ok to me, better photos of the whole shaft and the joint would be helpful. So ask for more photos and also recheck the 54" total length.
From the photos it looks good, but you can only ever really know with it in your hands.
Also not seen or heard of a fake North West Cue before as they are pretty rare in the main market.

Funny you should say that, I've seen about 4 on ebay in the last month! Hadn't seen many on there before that though.

willtyson, the last one I saw was months ago but I tend not to watch ebay that much nowadays. These four you have noticed would you say old cues or newbies?

Interesting thread I hadn't realised there were so many fakes out there! I've had a closer look at my own cues and based on what you've all been saying I think I've avoided the fakes so far. How can you really tell from a photo or 2 (or 3) though?
A quality cue does have a certain quality feel about it whether their new, newish or vintage, obviously you have to be even more cautious about what you buy and where you buy it from.
Admittedly he does put (Replica?) in the title
I have never seen a H&Ob with a rectangular plate instead of a disk, did they ever do these, say in the very early days? (early 80s?)
cheers
