      • Please be clear here -

Karl Craik - New cue maker, lovely lad, makes cues. Does not fake cues, does not make badges, does make some nice cues.

Karl/Kahlid Elawadi potter is well known amongst a few of us for selling cues that 'may' have been tampered with to enharnce the cues value.

        Also
I have a square Hunt badge that Tony Glover made, he gave me it to me for my collection and its a replica. Very similar in fact to the one on that Hunt cue.

Also noted on one of fedias listings he has a maple special cue pictured for some reason (not the cue being sold) and claimed he had it made recently, funny that as i seen another guy flogging it a while back...

            • Here's one for the Tall short player . .

              It's a long, short cue.

              Description at top says
"VINTAGE 1 PIECE SHORT CUE NO NAME NO TIP DARK WOOD 54.25" LONG",

              described farther down as
"65 INCHES LONG SO NO INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE ITS TO LONG AND WILL COST TO MUCH MONEY TO SEND"

it also has "no tip", and a "full tip" ( I sense a cut 'n' paste has occurred here ).
              enjoy :-

Seller is also selling a vintage cue case in black plastic . . . .

To be fair he sells lots of junk/car boot tat and has sold lots of cues so he's probably lazy with his cut and paste and forgot to change the shipping details.

Everybody who bought a cue from him left positive feedback.

Doesn't look right to me that cue, face splice seems to be made of the wrong wood, the butt seems to have a rubber stopper of some description on it along with a non parris looking badge on the case (which is described as parris branded aluminium despite not being listed on the website) and 2 "custom" extensions. Its possible it has some kind of third party butt joint on it, just strikes me as a little odd looking.

Totally agree. Its a nice cue and well made but not a Parris. The case looks like cuecraft with a different badge on.

He seems to mainly sell high end easilby knickable BMW parts. Perhaps he lifted this cue and genuinely believes its real?

That is not right. Better fake though than average.

I asked him some questions just out of interest

Hi can you tell me more about the cue please?

                        1. Do you have a receipt for it?
                        2. What wood are the splices made from?
                        3. It looks like it has chalk on on the pics but you say it hasn't being chalked?
                        4. Any reason you have pitched this at the price you have as all previous Parris tradional cues have sold for around £400 and that's really all their worth?

                        Here's his reply

                        1. I don't have the receipt for the cue although I have the receipt for the refurb on it
                        2. Faceing splice in Ovangkol with thick maple veneer
                        3. It's not been chalked, there's chalk on the case the cue is as it came back from Parris cues
                        4. The other Traditional cues didn't have 2 custom made Rosewood extensions for a start! I've priced it for its rarity and taking around 14% of eBay and PayPal fees to account. Red glue Parris cues are appreciating in value and more sought after than a new one in my opinion

                        • So he has a receipt for a refurb, either a dodgy receipt or for another cue id assume.
