  • RW Hatton cue

On ebay at the moment is a Roy Hatton Cue.
Not many people would have heard of this guy, I met his brother, Ray, a few years back, brought a load of cue badges off him.
Basically Roy Hatton worked for Burroughes and Watts as a cue maker. His brother told me he was on Bench No 3. Roy made all the B Watts cue range.
Roy left Burroughes and Watts to set up making cues on his own but shortly after he was tragically killed in a car accident. I have a few of his badges and his brother did show me 3 of his cues, all that was left. They were cracking cues, BW Champion style splices.

Frank Sandall knows Ray well, we have spoken on the phone about him before.

The one on ebay is the first ive seen for sale, well worth a punt.

      Was that on ebay?
I wouldnt think they would fetch alot of money, but a definite bargain for someone.

that cue looks in very good condition, and so does the name plate.but take a look at the brass screws.the heads are all chewed up.it just makes me wonder if this plate started life on a different cue.
