It was the Brian Mockford Memorial Shield. Dorset based comp played at Sandford Legion, last year won by Keith Brewer, also saw Mick Wareham's name on the shield a few years back.

      • Illustrious company , Jason , young Mr Brewer is still a force to be reckoned with , so comp must be tight.Next you will have to organise a " Cue Makers & Collectors " competition. You from Dorset, Mike W from Hamps, Mike F ( Bradford Singles Champ ) , Crispian ( Wales) , ADR & Andy Gibbs from North of the border , venue to be arranged. Let me know what you think. Pint of best bitter and a bag of pork scratchings for the winner.

Lovely cues Jason. Could you pm me a price to have a 3/4 cue like this built in ash and the wait time if you happen to be taking orders at the minute. Many Thanks

                        • No doubting this will be made to a very high standard, . . but for me, it looks . . . kinda akward .

Like going on the roundabout the sick way at the playground . . there's just something

uneven ( optical illusion I know ) about how the splices look. Some cues with one set of

alternating splices still pull it off, but two sets isn't for me.

Still , beauty is in the eye of the beholder, each to their own, and all that eh ?
